If you’ve been following me for some time, I want to thank you for continuing to offer me encouragement, support, and feedback.
If you’re a newbie just stumbling onto my site, I want to thank you for taking the time to visit and see what it is I have to offer.
Those who followed me on momaha.com know that I’ve decided to depart a place of security to return to the reasons why I began writing in the first place – to create meaning from my random thoughts, in my own voice, and at my own pace. My heart is here on Maternal Media. I want to grow this site and take you all on the ride.
My mind is like a box of chocolates…I trust you know the rest.
I pledge to continue to share pieces of perspective with you to help you laugh…think…care. The world can use a little more of all of that.

I was offered a fairly well paying writing gig 2 years ago with, to my shame, http://www.spotmebro.com This might have lead to other things, and would have been first regular writing job for me.
One article in, I walked away, and began writing relentlessly for my blog — for me. It’s where I can be myself.
Starting next month I’ll be writing monthly for my new local paper in the small town where I have just landed. I already know they won’t like what I write, and that it won’t last, but I will give it a try.
In the meantime, I always have me…
If you would have been a regular contributor to a site that boasts the tagline “Your daily whiff of testosterone,” I doubt we would have become friends.
I like chocolates!!! Al Leaders
I like your comment!
Hat tip to ya! It’ll be great. Will there be more swearing? I feel like there should be more swearing.
Great stuff Heidi
Thanks for all of your support as well as all the crap you give me to write about. 😉
um. I assume you had your right hand raised and your left hand over your heart when you made that pledge to me just now? Because, I swear, if you had your fingers crossed behind your back, and you don’t plan to make me laugh, we’re done here.
Just kidding, you know I’ve got your back. You were born to do this!
Did you see my ALS ice challenge video? Or, even better, Jaycee’s? ‘Cause THAT should have given you at least a giggle!
